Our director, Rebecca Thomas, started her career at Macquarie Bank and from there she moved to EY and Maddocks Lawyers. With nearly two decades of experience practicing solely in Family Law, Rebecca’s approachable, friendly and clear advice, coupled with her extensive experience, will see your matter handled in the most professional and cost-effective way. Jordan Jacobs is an experienced solicitor in Family Law. His driving force in becoming a lawyer was his desire to help people. In 2019, he worked as a paralegal in a Community Legal Centre, where he discovered his passion for people-focused work and family law. He has worked exclusively in family law since completing his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Commerce (BCom) at Monash University and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) from Leo Cussen Centre for Law. Jordan aims to provide clear, compassionate and practical advice, to resolve matters as quickly and as amicably as possible.
When he’s not lawyering, Jordan can be found attempting to re-live his youth playing Sunday league soccer!

Luciana Ramos has been practicing exclusively in family law since 2015 in private sectors in Melbourne. She is experienced in all areas of family law with a particular interest in complex property matters.
Her focus is to provide her clients with straightforward, compassionate and practical advice. She understands the challenges faced by her client during these emotional times and the complexities that is the legal system and is dedicated to helping her clients achieve the best possible outcome in a timely and amicable manner.
In addition, having spent six years as a Judge’s Associate at the Federal Circuit Court in Melbourne (now the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia), Luciana brings a unique perspective to her case work, appreciating the judicial factors that often determine a family law outcome.
Luciana holds both a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) and a Diploma of Legal Practice.

Serena was admitted to legal practice in 2012 and practices predominantly in Family Law.
Serena is a pragmatic family lawyer and believes the best outcomes for her clients are achieved when they are provided with high quality and sensible advice that is tailored to their particular circumstances. She takes a holistic and supportive approach to legal practice and focuses on achievable outcomes. Serena brings strong advocacy on behalf of her clients and seeks to maximize opportunities to a reach a resolution without the necessity of resorting to litigation.
However, if litigation becomes necessary Serena has experience appearing in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia in relation to financial disputes (including complex property pools), parenting disputes, family violence matters and divorce.
Serena is experienced in all aspects of Family and Relationship Law with a particular interest in parenting disputes and family violence matters.
Serena enjoys practicing in Family Law as it gives her the opportunity to help people in difficult situations obtain positive outcomes that they would not have achieved without her assistance. With experience across Wills and Estates, Estate Litigation, commercial practice and property transactions, Serena provides a thoughtful and strategic approach to family law, recognising the personal and often complex circumstances her clients are navigating.
